Eight Months Earlier: A Presidential Secret
Eight months earlier, the President’s motorcade pulls up to a secluded home deep in the woods. While the Secret Service sweeps the area, Chelsea asks how long the unplanned stop will take because the First Lady is demanding answers. The President instructs her to stall for time.
Once agents give the all clear, Hagan steps out and greets Harvestman on the front steps. He calls him by his real name, Adam. Adam is Hagan’s former squad commander and the man he trusts most to oversee Night Action.
Peter Wakes in the Woods
In the present, Peter wakes up on Adam’s couch in that same forest hideout. Adam prepares breakfast while Isabel notes that Adam saved them and that she had no idea Peter had a partner. Peter remains wary.
Adam pulls Peter outside for a debrief. Walking through the woods, Adam reminds him that operating alone can get people killed, which is why he followed him. He explains that Hagan brought him in to evaluate Peter’s reliability. His role is to assist and assess.
Peter finally admits he has been communicating directly with The Broker and feels responsible for the chaos that followed. They return inside and identify their next lead, casino owner John Hutson.

The Father Makes His Move
Meanwhile, The Father drives his son through the forest. When the boy asks why he will not go to the hospital, The Father insists his shoulder injury came from a falling tree branch.
After stepping out to investigate an alert from Isabel’s phone, he discovers the device and clones it.
Chelsea Digging for Answers
On a city street, Chelsea is confronted by the butler’s brother, who calls her a murderer. She calmly tells him his brother attacked the First Lady and walks away.
At the office, Chelsea requests placement on the investigation team. Her supervisor refuses but allows her to review reports while assigned to desk duty.
She discovers three deposits just under ten thousand dollars each, all made while the butler was in the White House speaking privately with the First Lady. The funds came from Corepoint Dynamics, one of the shell companies listed in Vernon’s Suspicious Activity Reports.
Infiltrating the Casino
Peter and Adam arrive at Hutson’s casino. The noise of the slot machines worsens Peter’s concussion, so Adam seats him at a blackjack table while they survey the floor.
They learn that Hutson is most accessible during evening horse races. Their plan is simple. Adam will copy the office computer while Peter clones Hutson’s phone.
Inside, Peter struggles to get close enough. Adam slips into Hutson’s office but must hide in the bathroom when a woman enters.
Peter approaches Hutson in the lounge and thanks him for his work with Heroes in Healing, claiming the program helped his brother. The brief exchange allows Peter to clone Hutson’s phone.
When Hutson returns to his office and begins engaging with the woman waiting there, Adam remains trapped. He snaps a picture as evidence. Peter sends the image to Hutson’s wife, who is in the VIP lounge. Furious, she demands Hutson return immediately.
Security discovers Adam in the bathroom. He fights his way out, and he and Peter escape, forwarding their findings to Mosely.
A Web of Shell Companies
Mosely informs them that Hutson is an alias connected to Raul Zapata and multiple shell companies tied to the SARs. Legal proceedings will slow everything down.
Elsewhere, Monroe checks on Jay. The cryptowallet has become active again. It had been dormant for years and reactivated just before the Pima plane was destroyed. Monroe realizes another attack may be imminent.

Corepoint and Kincare
Chelsea attends dinner with Theo and the Hagans. Midway through the evening, she slips away to revisit the attack site. The President personally thanks her for saving his family.
Later, Chelsea contacts Peter and reports the Corepoint deposits. Peter meets Isabel at the Register. They trace Corepoint through a chain of LLCs and discover a link to Kincare Trust, one of The Broker’s companies.
Isabel mentions a source who can help. Peter offers to go with her, but she warns that his presence would scare the source away. He reluctantly agrees to let her go alone.
At the White House, Jenny reviews the donor list for an upcoming fundraiser and notices Monroe’s name. The President decides Monroe must be distanced from the administration.
A Door Opens
Peter secretly follows Isabel to her meeting. From a distance, he watches as The Broker opens the door and invites her inside.
The Night Agent Season 3 Episode 5 recap ends with Peter forced to watch from a distance as Isabel walks into The Broker’s trap, powerless to stop it.
