Neagley Confronts Her Father
Frances visits her father in the hospital with one question.
Who was Elliot Percy?
She remembers him now.
Percy was the man who stopped young Frances from entering the bookmobile and the same man she later remembers seeing her father stab to death.
Neagley demands the truth.
Her father refuses to give it to her.
The confrontation becomes too much, and he suffers a heart attack.
The Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Recap leaves Frances with another painful reminder that solving the mystery of her childhood may come with consequences she cannot control.
Hudson Makes a Deal With His Father
Hudson visits his father in jail looking for answers about the boat and its connection to the pharmaceutical conspiracy in Hamilton, Canada.
Mr. Riley admits he was paid for work connected to Hamilton.
Hudson wants the account information.
His father wants something in return.
He asks Hudson to enter the evidence room and make a gambling case against a man named Stucci disappear.
Hudson reluctantly agrees.
In exchange, his father sends him to an old girlfriend with an unusual password:
“LeBron’s no Jordan.”
She has the financial information they need.
Kino Refuses to Break
At Echo Canyon, Kino remains Lawrence’s prisoner.
Lawrence turns on a radio and leaves Mason and another follower to extract information from him.
They beat Kino.
He says nothing.
Then they lower the radio into the tub of water where he’s sitting and electrocute him.
Kino still refuses to talk.
The Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Recap makes one thing abundantly clear: Kino may be trapped, but Lawrence hasn’t broken him.
Neagley Meets Hudson’s Ex
Hudson sends Neagley to retrieve the financial information from his former girlfriend.
The woman is agoraphobic and hasn’t left her home.
She also reveals something about Hudson.
They were once together, but he eventually stopped visiting because maintaining the relationship became too difficult for him.
Neagley gives her the password.
“LeBron’s no Jordan.”
The woman hands over the information.
Before leaving, Neagley takes out some trash and calls Hudson to tell him exactly how uncomfortable he made the entire encounter.
Mission accomplished.
With notes.
Hudson Crosses the Line
Hudson enters the evidence room and retrieves Stucci’s file.
Murphy sees him leaving and follows.
Hudson drives to a scrapyard, finds a burn barrel and hesitates before throwing the file into the flames.
He has just destroyed evidence.
Hudson has become the thing he’s spent so much time insisting he isn’t.
A dirty cop.
Murphy confronts him and orders him to drop his weapon.
The situation explodes into a fight.
Hudson grabs a tire iron.
And kills Murphy.
Panicking, he hides Murphy’s body inside a freezer and covers his car with a tarp.
The favor for his father has become a catastrophe.
Neagley and Renee Follow the Money
Neagley and Renee take the account information to a bank.
They claim Riley never received payment for the Hamilton job, with Renee adopting a French Canadian persona to help sell the story.
The manager checks the records.
The money was sent.
Neagley photographs the transaction information.
The Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Recap finally gives the team the financial trail they’ve been searching for.
Now they can follow it to whoever sits above Woodrow.
Renee Gets Her Hands Dirty
Their breakthrough doesn’t go unnoticed.
The two assassins who have been hunting Neagley follow Renee and Frances into an alley.
Neagley and Renee turn the ambush around.
Renee throws the male attacker onto exposed rebar, killing him.
Then she sees the woman choking Neagley.
Renee shoots her.
Both assassins are dead.
For someone who began the season largely behind a computer, Renee has officially graduated from research support.
Mandy Tries Kino One More Time
Mandy enters Kino’s cell and appears horrified by what Lawrence’s people have done to him.
She claims they were only supposed to ask questions.
Now, she says, they need to escape together.
Kino isn’t buying it.
He realizes Mandy has been sent to extract information from him.
Then he notices something else.
She smells like Lawrence.
The performance ends.
Mandy tells Kino he never should have crossed Lawrence and spits in his face.
Whatever hope Kino had that she was another victim is gone.
Arvid Rawlings Is the Man Behind the Money
Neagley and Renee finish tracing the financial records.
They finally identify the person sitting above Woodrow.
Arvid Rawlings.
The Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Recap has reached the top of the conspiracy.
Or at least the highest level Frances can currently see.
Then Hudson arrives with a confession.
He killed Murphy.
Neagley doesn’t have time for a breakdown.
She tells Hudson to return to the precinct immediately and make it appear as though he never left.
Rawlings Executes Woodrow
Rawlings surprises Woodrow in his office.
He pours a drink and behaves as though they’re celebrating.
Woodrow apologizes for failing to solve the Neagley problem.
Rawlings isn’t concerned.
His people are handling it now.
Woodrow sees an opportunity to save himself.
He suggests eliminating Lawrence, arguing that Echo Canyon’s leader has become reckless and uncontrollable.
Then Rawlings calls Lawrence into the room.
Woodrow realizes his mistake.
He tries to retreat from what he just said.
Too late.
Rawlings shoots him in the head.
Pierce Woodrow is dead.
The man who appeared to control the conspiracy was only another disposable piece on Rawlings’ board.
The Police Start Looking for Murphy
Back at the precinct, the deputy chief realizes Murphy has been missing too long.
He orders officers to ping Murphy’s phone and locate his last known position.
Hudson calls Neagley and Renee.
The clock is now ticking on his cover-up.
Then Hudson checks the tracker he planted on Woodrow.
Woodrow’s car is sitting in a lake.
Neagley immediately recognizes the pattern.
Hamilton is happening again.
Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Ending Explained
The ending of the Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Recap strips away the final layer between Frances and the people controlling Echo Canyon.
Woodrow is dead.
Rawlings has emerged as the financial power behind the operation.
Lawrence still controls Echo Canyon.
Kino remains his prisoner.
And Hudson’s murder of Murphy threatens to bring the police crashing down on the team before they can finish the investigation.
There isn’t time for another clue.
There isn’t time for another warrant.
Neagley gives the order.
Gear up.
Armor up.
They’re storming Echo Canyon.
The Bottom Line
Neagley Season 1 Episode 7 Recap transforms the investigation into a rescue mission and sets the board for the finale.
Frances is still searching for answers about Elliot Percy and the childhood trauma her father refuses to explain. Hudson has crossed his moral Rubicon by destroying evidence and killing Murphy. Kino has survived torture without betraying the team, while Mandy has fully chosen Lawrence and Echo Canyon.
Most importantly, Pierce Woodrow is no longer the man at the top.
Arvid Rawlings is.
And his execution of Woodrow demonstrates how easily he’ll eliminate anyone who threatens the operation.
With Kino trapped, Rawlings cleaning house and the police closing in on Hudson, Neagley makes the only move she believes remains.
No more surveillance.
No more following the money.
No more waiting.
Echo Canyon is about to get a visit from Frances Neagley.
Neagley Season 1 is streaming on Prime Video.
