Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson didn’t just become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars — he became one of its defining voices. His road to stardom wasn’t easy; he struggled for years in supporting roles, even battling addiction. But his life and career changed when he began working with Spike Lee, turning up in films like Do the Right Thing (1989) and Jungle Fever (1991).
Then came Pulp Fiction (1994). As Jules Winnfield, the philosophical hitman with a taste for Biblical monologues, Jackson gave a performance so magnetic it became instantly iconic. Suddenly, Hollywood couldn’t get enough of him. He became the cool, fiery presence in everything from Jackie Brown to Shaft to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he anchored a franchise as Nick Fury.
What makes Jackson singular is his energy, a mix of danger, humor, and intensity that no one else can replicate. He’s the highest-grossing actor of all time, but his career isn’t just about box office numbers. It’s about moments, lines, glances, explosions of rage and laughter that stay with you forever.
