Tessa Thompson
Fearless, dynamic, and endlessly versatile, Tessa Thompson has become one of the most exciting stars of her generation. Breaking out with roles in Dear White People and Creed, she quickly showed her ability to ground intimate dramas with nuance while also commanding blockbuster franchises.
In Ryan Coogler’s Creed series, she redefined the “love interest” archetype by making Bianca a fully realized character — ambitious, vulnerable, and powerful in her own right. In Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Thompson flipped expectations again, bringing swagger and strength to Valkyrie, a character who became one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most beloved heroes.
She also thrives in indie projects, from the surreal satire of Sorry to Bother You (2018) to the quiet intimacy of Passing (2021), proving she can execute bold experimentation just as well as franchise spectacle. Across every role, Thompson’s sharp intelligence and emotional depth consistently shine through.
