The closer she gets to her goal of destroying the women she blames for her misery, the more feral she becomes. She insists her pain will never fade and that they are responsible for every fractured part of her life. Her fantasies turn graphic and violent, and when the therapist pushes back, Carr erupts, unleashing a volcanic fury that sends the session into emotional freefall.
Liberty’s Joy Becomes Carr’s Opening
Elsewhere, Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts) prepares for her wedding, clinging to brief pockets of joy amid the chaos of the firm. That peace shatters when Carr arrives uninvited. Armed with gifts, flattery, and a calculated agenda, Carr quietly works to secure Liberty’s vote for partner. She plays directly into Liberty’s insecurities as an outsider, planting seeds of division with surgical precision. Liberty absorbs the poison without realizing she has taken the bait.
As Liberty selects her maid of honor, all three partners assume they are the obvious choice. The tension peaks when Liberty reveals her bridal gowns, only to be met with immediate criticism. Carr scores another victory. Liberty explodes, storms out, and finds comfort with the last person she should trust. Carr wraps her in a faux British embrace, reassuring her while subtly reinforcing the idea that Liberty has succeeded despite the women around her. The poison tastes like sugar. What follows is the season’s most devastating move. All the women, including Carr, stage an intervention for Dina. Emails are presented showing Dina speaking to Doug as if he were still alive. Dina pushes back, insisting Carr is manipulating them, but Carr escalates, producing her housekeeper Esperanza, who falsely claims Dina assaulted her. The lie lands. Shockingly, the others believe it.
Then the final blow. Detectives arrive to arrest Dina for the murder of Lloyd Walton. Carr has dismantled her idol and cleared her path to power.

In a twist seeded since the pilot, Carrington Lane finally gets everything she wanted, delivered in the most chillingly plausible way imaginable. She poisons relationships, exploits insecurities, engineers confrontations, and weaponizes grief until her friends hand her victory themselves.
The looming question is not whether Carr will be exposed. It is whether anyone she has manipulated will be strong enough to face the truth when it finally surfaces.
