This week on the BIG show, independent Black film arrives in the Nation’s Capitol and the founder and festival director of the DC Black Film Festival, Kevin Sampson will be our special guest to discuss the highlights and programming that will await audiences.

Sampson oversees the burgeoning festival which joins the circuit of other major regional festivals throughout the U.S. The second installment runs from August 16-18 at the fabled Miracle Theater in Washington, DC.

In addition, the Academy Awards announced several major changes and show correspondent, Wilson Morales of Blackfilm.com will join us to talk about what they will mean moving forward.

Plus, we’ll have entertainment news and review of the latest films, including the aforementioned The Meg and BlackkKlansman on Episode 323 of Keeping It Reel with FilmGordon.
