One project down, next one up – director Antoine Fuqua just keeps churning along. The in-demand auteur has reportedly found his next film.
According to published reports, Fuqua is set to direct the upcoming action thriller Narco-Sub.
Written by David Guggenheim, the film is set in the dangerous world of drug smuggling, and the title refers to the semi-submersible crafts that South American drug cartels have been using to ship cocaine into the U.S. without having to deal with land-based authorities.
Scott Free’s Jules Daly, Ridley Scott and Michael Schaefer and Genre Films’ Simon Kinberg will produce.
He’s also on board to direct the boxing film, Southpaw.
Fuqua’s next film, The Equalizer, starring Denzel Washington, will hit theaters September 26, 2014.
