Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 10 Preview: Everything Comes Down to “Being Alive”

Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 10 Preview arrives with AFC Richmond having accomplished what once seemed impossible. The Lady Greyhounds are headed to the Super League, but the celebration surrounding their promotion has been shattered by Mae Green’s death.

That leaves “Being Alive,” the Season 4 finale, with considerably more to resolve than Richmond’s future on the pitch. Ted and the Richmond family must say goodbye to one of their own, Keeley and Roy have an unexpected future to consider, Rebecca faces Zelda’s attempt to take control of the club, and Alice enters the finale having finally discovered what kind of coach she wants to be.

Richmond Must Say Goodbye to Mae

The title “Being Alive” takes on immediate significance following Mae’s death. Richmond has just experienced one of its greatest sporting achievements, yet the people celebrating that victory must now confront the absence of someone who represented the club long before the Lady Greyhounds existed.

For Ted, Mae’s death may prove especially difficult. He invited her onto the bus, watched her speak to his players, and shared Richmond’s historic afternoon with her. The finale now has an opportunity to explore one of the show’s most enduring ideas from another direction: belief can help people move through pain, but it cannot prevent loss.

How Ted and the Richmond family honor Mae could become the emotional center of the finale.

Rebecca Has Another Fight for Richmond

Promotion has secured the Lady Greyhounds’ sporting future. Zelda has made Richmond’s ownership considerably less certain.

The revelation that Zelda is behind the attempt to acquire shares changes Rebecca’s final challenge from another confrontation with Rupert into something more personal. Rebecca allowed Zelda into her circle, only to discover that she may be trying to take away the institution Rebecca has come to regard as home.

Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 10 Preview therefore finds Rebecca fighting for much more than control of a football club. Richmond has become the center of a family she never expected to find, and after losing Mae, Rebecca may be even less willing to surrender it.

Roy and Keeley Face What’s Next

Keeley’s pregnancy changes the conversation between her and Roy. Their feelings have been apparent for much of the season, but “Mae Rides the Bus” finally gave them something larger than their romantic history to consider.

The finale doesn’t necessarily need to put them neatly back together. What matters is whether Roy and Keeley can approach this unexpected future as the more mature versions of themselves they have become. Roy has learned to be present without trying to control the outcome, while Keeley has finally trusted him enough to share news that could reshape both of their lives.

“Being Alive” may reveal whether that growth has prepared them to move forward together.

Alice Has Become the Coach Richmond Needs

Alice enters the finale having completed one of Season 4’s most important transformations. Ted never needed her to become another version of him. He needed Alice to understand that empathy, humor, and vulnerability could strengthen the intensity and competitiveness she already possessed.

Her decision to remove Gemma despite the stakes demonstrated how far she has come. So did her playful encouragement of Shannon before sending her onto the pitch. Alice isn’t simply borrowing Ted’s methods anymore. She has absorbed his philosophy and translated it into her own language.

With promotion secured, Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 10 Preview raises a larger question: has Ted accomplished what he returned to Richmond to do? Alice may finally be capable of carrying the Lady Greyhounds forward without needing Ted beside her.

What to Watch in Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 10

“Being Alive” enters the finale with victory already achieved, allowing the story to focus on what happens after the scoreboard stops mattering. Mae’s death should force Ted and Richmond to confront grief together, while Zelda’s betrayal gives Rebecca one final battle to protect the club she loves.

Keeley’s pregnancy could redefine her relationship with Roy, and Alice’s emergence as a confident leader may provide the clearest evidence of Ted’s lasting influence. Most importantly, Ted must decide what Richmond needs from him now that the Lady Greyhounds have reached the Super League.

The title may provide the biggest clue. After an episode defined by the sudden collision between life and death, “Being Alive” suggests the finale won’t simply be about where these characters end up.

It may be about appreciating the people beside you while they’re still here.
