Reel Reviews | Much Ado About Nothing

Two men in conversation on a baseball field during sunset.

On the latest episode of Reel Shorts, director Joss Whedon’s modern retelling of Shakespeare’s classic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing centers on two pairs of lovers with different takes on romance and a way with words.

The film, shot over 12 days, is a stripped-down beauty and a wonderful change of pace for Whedon. Much Ado About Nothing stars Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Reed Diamond, Fran Kranz, Sean Maher and Jillian Morgese.

Grade: B+
