Episode 6 of Tulsa Season 2 starts with Dwight ready to head off to Atlanta and sort out these “misunderstandings”. Tina is concerned when she finds out and decides she should have a gun to protect herself back home. Reluctantly, Dwight agrees to help her out and find something she can use. Naturally, he visits Mitch and he agrees to help. Part of that includes heading to a makeshift shooting range and firing off some rounds.
Back a the weed shop, Armand is shocked when he sees Bodhi’s bandaged nose. When he realizes that he’s been instrumental in Thresher getting the drop on Dwight, he’s rattled. As for Thresher though, he heads back to the farm and immediately gets an earful from Jackie. A good chunk of the guards are out of commission thanks to Dwight and his men. With no guards watching over the trimmers, he warns that this could see an insurrection from those workers. Thresher though simply tells him to relax and believes he has everything under control.
Armand arrives next to see Thresher and asks about the wind farm. He points out to the guy that everything in life is transactional and after handing over 50k, Thresher owns him and he has absolutely no choice but to continue playing ball.
However, this meeting looks to hit a snag when Chickie, talking a big game at the airport, completely forgets he has a gun stashed in his pant leg. Naturally, when the security check him and find it, they detain him. What an idiot.
Less idiotic though is a business proposal brought to Bodhi. This involves drop-shipping CBD, setting up a website for it to be ready in about a week’s time. Before we see this transpire, we cut across to Atlanta as the big meeting gets underway. Chickie’s not there of course, leaving Bevilaqua to handle this. Naturally there’s a lot of hostility amongst the men, especially when they find out Chickie was going to bring a gun to this sit-down.
The men air out their concerns and what’s fascinating here is that both sides have a good point. From Bevilaqua’s position, an outsider has come into Tulsa and started to make a tidy profit off the land that he posited belonged to him. Dwight though, was sent to Tulsa by Chickie, and now that he’s here, he’s looking to do whatever he can to survive. If Bevilaque and co. don’t like it? Well, the buck falls to Chickie, not him. But Chickie isn’t here to speak for himself, so that leaves Vince to handle matters.
Dwight eventually agrees to 15% off the top, in exchange for security and distribution if needed. He also offers top quality weed at $575 a pound, specially for Bevilaqua. It seems they’re in business. Chickie meanwhile, gets nothing. Vince and Chickie come to blows back home when the latter finds out they’re getting nothing from Dwight.
