Nick Fury and Deadpool, Actually veteran action actors Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds team up to take out some baddies in the new trailer for the upcoming action comedy film, The Hitman’s Bodyguard.
In the film, a special protection agent (Reynolds) is tasked with guarding the life of his mortal enemy, who is one of the world’s most notorious hitmen (Jackson) and taking him from England to the International Court of Justice. On their way, they are on high-speed car chases and boat escapes as deadly assassins are pursuing them and they are forced to work together in order to defeat a ruthless, powerful and bloodthirsty Eastern European dictator (Gary Oldman).
This synopsis of this film is similar to another Reynold’s pairing from 2012, Safe House, where he was tasked with protecting Denzel Washington on the run from a corrupt team of killers.
Directed by Patrick Hughes and written by Tom O’Connor, The Hitman’s Bodyguard stars Reynolds, Jackson, Oldman, Élodie Yung and Salma Hayek.
The Hitman’s Bodyguard opens in theaters on August 18, 2017.
