Trailer Park ’23 | Week 1

As the calendar turns to 2023, it’s time to turn the page previewing the upcoming movies that will be in theaters in the year’s first edition of Trailer Park.

New this week in Trailers:

  • Poker Face
    The series will be a character-driven, case-of-the-week mystery comedy-drama. Each episode follows the howcatchem format popularized by Columbo. Created by Rian Johnson and stars Natasha Lyonne, Adrien Brody, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
  • You People
    A new couple and their families reckon with modern love amid cultural clashes, societal expectations, and generational differences. Directed by Kenya Barris, which he co-wrote with Jonah Hill, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Eddie Murphy, Hill, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lauren London, Sam Jay, Molly Gordon, Mike Epps, Nia Long, Deon Cole, Rhea Perlman, and David Duchovny.
  • Renfield
    Count Dracula’s lackey Renfield finds a new lease on life in modern-day New Orleans when he falls in love with Rebecca Quincy, a feisty but perennially aggressive traffic cop. Directed by Chris McKay from a screenplay by Ryan Ridley. The film stars Nicholas Hoult, Nicolas Cage, Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, and Adrian Martinez.
  • The Consultant
    Mr. Patoff, a bow-tie-wearing consultant comes to the rescue of CompWare after a prominent merger falls through and seemingly starts running the company. Created by Tony Basgallop, the series is based on the novel of the same name by Bentley Little and stars Christoph Waltz, Nat Wolff, Brittany O’Grady, and Aimee Carrero.
  • Knock at the Cabin
    While vacationing at a remote cabin, a family of three is suddenly held hostage by four strangers, who demand they sacrifice one of their own to avert the apocalypse. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, the film is based on the 2018 novel The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul G. Tremblay. The film stars Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint.
