Annie befriends Gail, the head of security at Graceland, who senses both fragility and resilience in her. Gail helps Annie secure a job as a tour guide, welcoming visitors just as she once did as a child.
Then the sky turns hostile.

Annie and Link grow close. He explains their mission to restart the world in the West. On their final night before departure, they share a tender intimacy, fragile and necessary in a broken world.
Link invites Annie to join them.
Fear wins.
She stays behind.
After the group leaves, Annie discovers she is pregnant with Link’s child. Life, stubborn and defiant, continues.

One night, Annie hears the roar of an aircraft. A plane crashes nearby. She saddles one of the Graceland horses and rides toward the wreckage.
Inside the debris, she finds Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), the former Secret Service agent who has been searching for his presumed dead wife, Teri Rogers-Collins (Enuka Okuma), since last season’s finale.
Xavier is battered but alive.
