New alliances are formed and plans arise to take down a common foe on the latest episode of Mayor of Kingstown entitled My Way.
As Callahan is being prepped for transfer to general population, he reminds Kyle that it was him who saved his life, not Mike. Kyle silently listens and does not respond. As he is cuffed and about to be escorted away, He offers once more for Kyle to join the Brotherhood and threatens the life of his family if he doesn’t. Angered by the threat, Kyle vehemently tells Meryl no and informs him that when all things are said and done that Callahan will be no more than a footnote, meaningless and will die before anyone else in his family.
Mike tells Ian to hold Moses for as long as he possibly can while he works something out. He meets with Hobbs shortly after and tells her that he is not happy being part of a setup. Hobbs said that she had to prove herself and he proved himself to her. Unsatisfied, Mike mentions a way to get all the players off the board and that she should be ready to help. Then, Mike goes to Evelyn who complains about her witness disappearing which is new information to Mike. Mike offers the solution of the prosecution of Frank Moses in exchange for Kyle’s release.
In the prison, Kevin searches the office and finds the timing of the next shipment to the facility from the cartel. Kyle fakes an illness and leaves the facility where he shares the info with Mike. Mike meets with Frank at the jail and shares the info with him. Mike makes it clear that Moses needs to set things even with the cartel.
Meanwhile, Ian goes to see Robert who just got finished meeting his wife and son at the park. Robert complains about his situation and how Mitch would have never hung out a fellow officer. Ian attempts to remind Robert that all of this storm will blow over but Robert is convinced that Mike is the problem and that they should remove the problem the same way they did the witness.
Mike meets with Ian at hockey practice and tells him about his plans to set up Moses in exchange for Kyle’s release. Ian seems good with the plan but then warns him about Robert getting antsy to return to work. Mike asks if Robert is threatening Evelyn. Ian corrects him and says that he is after him. Mike lets Ian know that he can’t look after Ian any longer.
Frank and his team mount up and takes out the cartel’s shipment, executing the driver in a hail of bullets and then setting the truck on fire.
Hobbs turns white as a sheet when she finds out about the shipment. Torres tries to reassure her but she is nearly inconsolable with worry about the reaction from the cartel to her having lost a shipment. Torres assures Hobbs that he will find out who gave up the information about the shipment and tells her to go home.
Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, a fight breaks out between inmates. As the guards rush to stop the fight, the kitchen security also goes out leaving the trustees in the kitchen, including Meryl Callahan alone. Callahan and another inmate are loaded into hiding places inside tray carts behind a set of fake trays. The carts are then loaded onto a truck and taken out of the facility.
Mike gets a call and leaves immediately. He arrives at the hospital to find that Bunny is indeed awake. Bunny brags that it will take much more than this to kill him. Mike informs Bunny that Frank is behind the hit and is looking to take over. When Bunny starts to make plans to get Moses, Mike tells him of his plan to take Frank down legally and have him sent to prison, where Bunny can have him taken out. Bunny agrees.
Hobbs goes home. When she gets there, she grabs her gun and goes inside. She turns off the alarm and set her things on the kitchen counter. As soon as she gets to the top of her stairs, she is attacked by Cortez, the cartel assassin. He zipties Hobbs hands behind her and puts her in the bathtub with a razor blade to her neck and demands answers. Desperate for her life, she tells Cortez that Torres was responsible for getting the shipment hijacked. Cortez takes the blade and cuts the ties, leaving her face down in the tub and disappears as quickly as he came. Sobbing, Hobbs rolls over in the tub to reveal that she has wet her pants.
Ian goes to meet Robert again and they go for drinks. Ian tries to talk Robert down about Mike but again he believes that Mike is the source of all his problems. After Ian finishes getting him drunk, he takes a completely inebriated Robert back home. He puts the car in the garage and then puts Robert in the driver’s seat. Ian rolls the windows of the car down and leaves him in the closed garage with the engine running.
Closing Thoughts
With Callahan on the loose, what is in store for Mike and Kyle’s wife Tracy? What is going to happen to Torres now that Hobbs has given him up? What will happen to Hobbs if Cortez finds out that Torres is not the leak? Will taking Frank down satisfy everyone, including the cartel? Most of all, can Frank be taken down?
