Then Joe was taken.

Oleska May Hold Another Piece
Oleska has already proven indispensable.

But that usefulness has also placed a target on her back.
By the end of “Kiss the Girls,” Byron and Kaitlyn were already discussing whether Oleska had become too dangerous to leave alive.
That leaves her in an increasingly precarious position heading into the finale.
She may know more.
In Lioness The Unravelling Preview, Oleska remains one of the few people capable of connecting the conspiracy’s remaining pieces.
The question is whether anyone will allow her to live long enough to reveal it.

The title “The Unravelling” feels appropriate for where Season 3 has brought Joe.
The conspiracy is unraveling.
The intelligence operation is unraveling.
But Joe’s carefully constructed separation between operative, wife and mother has unraveled too.
She has spent the season hunting enemies hiding inside America only to discover that the greatest cost of the mission may be waiting inside her own home.
Joe told Neal she would return when it was over.
There is only one episode left to make good on that promise.
Find the mole. Finish the mission. Then find out whether Joe McNamara can finally go home.
