Nobody, we mean NOBODY is as hot as Kevin Hart now. His meteoric rise to stardom continues with the release of the teaser trailer for his upcoming comedy, Ride Along.
In Hart’s latest, he plays a high school security guard who is ready to get married, but must first survive a Training Day-like ride along experience with her tough cop brother, played by Ice Cube, who doesn’t want the marriage to happen and tries to scare Hart’s character away.
Sparkle’s Tika Sumpter plays Hart’s fiancee; Bryan Callen is a wily, undercover cop opposite John Leguizamo, while SNL’s Jay Pharoah plays a street-smart informant.
Recent Oscar voter-invitee Tim Story directs, while Will Packer is producing via his Rainforest Films banner in partnership with Ice Cube’s Cube Vision, and Matt Alvarez’s LBI Entertainment.

Reportedly, Universal is so pumped about the film’s prospects that they are already considering a sequel – MONTHS before this one hits theaters.
Meanwhile, Hart has become one of the industry’s most successful actor/comedians. His upcoming stand-up film, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain, opens in theaters this week and he is coming off a successful initial season of his faux reality show, The Real Husbands of Hollywood. Also on Hart’s upcoming slate is the remake of About Last Night, the sequel to Think Like a Man, appearing in the upcoming Chris Rock-vehicle, Finally Famous, plus an untitled Screen Gems/Miramax collaboration from first-timer Jeremy Garelick, that will see The Book Of Mormon‘s Josh Gad, co-starring with Hart, a Lionsgate/Codeblack project titled Quick & Easy.
Ride Along hits theaters on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday weekend, January 17, 2014.
