Less than two months before he headlines the latest film in the Fast and Furious franchise, Vin Diesel released a new image from his upcoming film, The Last Witch Hunter.
The film follows an immortal witch hunter who partners with his natural enemy, a female witch (Rose Leslie), to stop the covens of New York City from unleashing a plague on humanity.
The film also stars Elijah Wood and Michael Caine and is directed by Breck Eisner (The Crazies). Diesel is excited to appear in two diverse stories.
“It is rare thing,” the Guardians of the Galaxy star writes, “to have produced two movies with completely contrasting characters, come out in the same year: Furious 7 on April 3rd, The Last Witch Hunter on October 23rd. However, exactly fifteen years ago, two movies were released in the same day, with entirely different characters: Boiler Room and Pitch Black. Thanks for always believing in me, blessed, inspired and I feel like I’m just getting started,” said Diesel.
As Diesel said, The Last Witch Hunter will hit the big screen October 23, 2015. Furious 7, with Diesel returning to the action franchise as part of an ensemble that also includes Paul Walker, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Djimon Hounsou, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Dwayne Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Brotherton and Iggy Azaela, opens on April 3.
