But his return created another impossible problem when multiple versions of Jason began arriving in the same reality, each believing that the Dessen family belonged to him.
Jason, Daniela, and Charlie ultimately escaped together through the Box.
Season 2 begins on the other side of that decision.
In “A Quiet Life,” the Dessens have apparently found a world where they can finally settle down. For the first time in a long time, there is no army of Jasons chasing them and no immediate reason to open another door.
Yet escaping the multiverse is considerably easier than forgetting it exists.

Jason spent much of Season 1 trying to escape the Box.
Season 2 may find him struggling to stay away from it.

Amanda Lucas and Ryan Holder remain separated from the lives they once knew, but Season 2 brings their journeys together as they attempt to find their way home.
