On the latest episode of Conversations, director Gabriela Cowperwaithe returns to the show to discuss her latest film, the tense space drama, I.S.S. Cowperwaithe talks about the genesis of the story.

Tensions flare shortly aboard the International Space Station when a worldwide conflict breaks out on Earth. Soon, the U.S. and Russian astronauts each receive orders from the ground: take control of the station by any means necessary.

The sci-fi thriller film is directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and written by Nick Shafir. The film stars Ariana DeBose, Chris Messina, John Gallagher Jr., Maria Mashkova, Costa Ronin, and Pilou Asbæk.

I.S.S. is in theaters on January 19, 2024.
