The busy world of Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne keeps on spinning. With several films in varying stages of production, Fishburne has been cast in the indie sci-fi thriller, The Signal.
The story centers on three college freshmen who become targets of a rival computer hacker, and who are lured to an abandoned shack in the middle of the desert. Joining Fishburne in the cast are Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, Beau Knapp, Sarah Clarke, Lin Shaye and Robert Longstreet.
Also, Fishburne is currently co-starring with Bill Paxton in another sci-fi thriller, The Colony, which as recently released in Canadian theaters and soon will open in the U.S. The film centers on a group of underground survivors fighting to survive after the next Ice Age, fending off an invasion of feral cannibals.
In addition, Fishburne will appear in two more films, the drama, Rudderless, directed by William H. Macy and starring Billy Crudup, Anton Yelchin, Selena Gomez, Felicity Huffman and Macy and look for him as the iconic Perry White in the upcoming summer superhero film, Man of Steel.
