As pilot season approaches, casting for potential Fall TV pick-ups continues. In the past week, there has been a flurry of names being tabbed for upcoming series. Another major name is coming to the small screen – Wesley Snipes.

The veteran actor signed a first-look deal with Sony, which would allow him to develop and produce a diverse slate of projects, via his Maandi Media shingle. Snipes will also make his debut as a television leading man in the NBC thriller, Endgame.

In Endgame, which hails from the producers of Leverage and The Blacklist, the series is set in Las Vegas, where a former sniper turned security expert (played by Philip Winchester) is drawn into a conspiracy that forces him to complete a series of heroic challenges, which are all part of a game he has to play in order to save innocent lives.

“It’s very exciting to be putting on my producing hat again,” the actor said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to reuniting with the studio responsible for the success of my film, The Fan.â€

Since being released from jail for tax evasion, the 52-year old Black Reel Award nominee has only appeared in The Expendables 3. While we’re sure Snipes would love to make movies again, a solid performance on this show could help pave his way back.
