This movie is definitely made for the young adult crowd but after seeing movies like Everything, Everything many of them may feel like they have seen this movie before and they know how it is going to resolve itself.
Captain Marvel is an interesting response to Marvel’s competitors and detractors. The movie is an origin story of course but unlike other origin stories in this universe, the hero finds herself at the same time as the viewers.

It is incredibly striking to see the life and joy that Farhadi introduces at the beginning of the movie and how it is literally and figuratively washed away by the end of the movie.
Tongue firmly in cheek, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part is very entertaining. It never takes itself too seriously which is great for the children and has enough smart pop culture references to keep the adults interested as well.
