Talking about going from a zero to a hero, 42 star Chadwick Boseman has that fresh new car smell all over him and everybody wants to be down with the latest “it” sensation.
In light of the feeding frenzy going on to cast the next hot comic superhero, Boseman is now being considered for the Black Panther, initially in a cameo for Avengers 2 and possibly in a solo film.
Boseman was recently cast in a prominent role in the football drama, Draft Day opposite Jennifer Garner, Ellen Burstyn, Denis Leary, Sean Combs, Terry Crews, and Chi McBride.
According to sources at LatinoReview:
“The guy is starring in a box office hit, he is accessible to both African American AND mainstream audiences which is key. He is both lean and handsome, and according to some of the brothers I spoke to he is chocolate enough. That and the fact he is affordable and within the price point Marvel pays.”
Several weeks ago, Morris Chestnut was rumored to be under consideration for this role but all of the posts from his Facebook and Twitter accounts have been deleted.
There hasn’t been an story built around an African-American comic superhero since Blade and with all of the characters in development, Black Panther should be a great opportunity for whichever actor is cast as long as they get a great script and support.
Stay tuned for details, we promise it will be interesting!
