Reacher Season 4 Episode 7 Preview: The Answers Finally Arrive
Reacher has spent the season trying to understand how a chance encounter on a Philadelphia subway could connect to something much larger.
“Vote for Sampson” promises some long-awaited answers.
Reacher and Tamara finally uncover the information they have been seeking, potentially giving them their clearest picture yet of the people and motives operating behind the season’s conspiracy. At the same time, Jacob learns that whatever they have uncovered doesn’t mean their problems are over. In fact, they may only be beginning.
That makes the Reacher Season 4 Episode 7 Preview particularly intriguing. Episode 7 isn’t simply about discovering the truth. It’s about what Reacher decides to do once he has it.
And if the finale’s title, “Cut,” is any indication, there won’t be much time for contemplation.
Plum’s Sources Come Through
Russell Plum has steadily become one of the season’s most important wild cards.
“Plum Out of Luck” separated him from Reacher and Tamara, leaving Plum and Jacob to navigate their own troubles in Philadelphia. “Vote for Sampson” gives Plum another opportunity to prove his value when his sources provide crucial information.
That information appears significant enough to change Jacob’s understanding of what they’re facing.
Throughout Season 4, information has been almost as dangerous as the people carrying guns. Flash drives, government secrets, mysterious operatives and shifting alliances have repeatedly complicated Reacher’s attempts to determine who can be trusted.
Plum’s latest intelligence could finally connect some of those pieces.
It could also reveal that the board is considerably larger than Reacher realized.
Why Sampson Matters
The title itself brings Sampson back to the center of the conversation.
Reacher previously interrogated Sampson in “Karambits and Pieces,” an episode that also saw Tamara break into a government facility while the team uncovered information that changed the direction of the investigation.
By “Plum Out of Luck,” however, Sampson had begun distancing himself from Reacher as the pressure surrounding the investigation intensified.
Now comes “Vote for Sampson.”
Whether that title refers directly to the political machinery surrounding the case or carries another meaning remains to be seen, but Sampson’s reappearance in the episode title feels anything but accidental.
The Reacher Season 4 Episode 7 Preview puts him squarely back on the radar just as the investigation begins producing the answers Reacher has wanted.
Reacher and Tamara Reach the Endgame
Reacher and Tamara’s partnership has become increasingly important as Season 4 has unfolded.
Tamara didn’t exactly volunteer to enter Reacher’s world. She was dragged into the mystery alongside him, Jacob and Plum, eventually finding herself dealing with shady government agents, professional soldiers and a conspiracy that continued expanding every time they uncovered another clue.
By Episode 6, she and Reacher were fugitives searching for Ahlquist outside Philadelphia.
Episode 7 finally promises a payoff.
Whatever Reacher and Tamara discover should provide the bridge into “Cut,” where the season’s remaining players will have to decide what to do with everything they’ve learned.
And Reacher has never been particularly interested in sitting on information.
Jacob Learns the Trouble Isn’t Over
While Reacher and Tamara get answers, Jacob receives a warning of a different kind.
His journey through Season 4 has become increasingly personal, particularly after the events surrounding his sister. “Bridge” finally gave Jacob an opportunity to strike back, but revenge hasn’t removed him from the larger conspiracy.
Plum’s new information apparently makes that painfully clear.
The Reacher Season 4 Episode 7 Preview suggests Jacob could discover that resolving one part of his personal story has only pulled him further into something much larger.
That realization arrives at exactly the wrong time.
There is only one episode left.
What to Watch in “Vote for Sampson”
The biggest question is simple: What do Reacher and Tamara finally learn?
Their search for Ahlquist drove “Plum Out of Luck,” and Episode 7 promises the answers they have been waiting for. Watch closely for how those answers connect the season’s government operatives, professional soldiers, Sampson and the mystery that began with Reacher’s encounter on the Philadelphia subway.
Plum’s information should be equally important. If his sources reveal that the team’s problems are only beginning, the conspiracy may extend considerably further than anyone suspected.
Most importantly, watch Reacher.
The Reacher Season 4 Episode 7 Preview brings him to the point where investigation becomes action. Once Reacher knows who is responsible, the rules tend to become considerably simpler.
“Vote for Sampson” premieres Wednesday, September 9, 2026, on Prime Video, with the Season 4 finale, “Cut,” following September 16.
