The trailer for Brad Furman’s upcoming thriller, Runner Runner has been posted online. The film stars Ben Affleck, Justin Timberlake and Anthony Mackie.
Furman’s follow-up to his concept-driven drama, The Lincoln Lawyer, tells the story of a Princeton grad student Richie (Timberlake), who believing he’s been swindled, travels to Costa Rica to confront online gambling tycoon Ivan Block (Affleck).
Richie is seduced by Block’s promise of immense wealth, until he learns the disturbing truth about his benefactor. When the FBI (represented by Mackie playing a generic FBI officer) tries to coerce Richie to help bring down Block, Richie faces his biggest gamble ever, attempting to outmaneuver the two forces closing in on him.
Runner Runner opens in theaters on Sept. 27, 2013.
