The prisoner provides one cryptic clue, 34.6 megahertz, before taking poison and dying rather than surrendering additional information.
Watching nearby is Commander Kor, a member of the Klingon Imperial family whose approach favors brutality over patience.
However, Una recognizes something important beneath his aggression. Kor respects Nevette because he believes she understands power.
That perception gives Una room to maneuver, but every successful deception draws her deeper into the life of the woman she is pretending to be.

He refuses.
That decision gives Una the opening she needs.
She secretly attaches the resistance’s proximity detonator to Roman, turning the man who killed Nevette into the instrument that completes her final mission.
When the device detonates, the Klingon force field collapses.
The resistance finally has its opportunity.
With her identity exposed and her role complete, Una passes leadership to Ja’lem, entrusting him with the responsibility of carrying the fight forward.
La’An Discovers the Truth
On the Enterprise, La’An’s investigation reaches its own moral crossroads.
During another conversation with Christine, a suggestion about checking transporter forensics finally connects the missing pieces.
Christine was responsible for the breach.
An earlier vessel had crossed paths with the Klingons while carrying sensitive Starfleet information, and Chapel intervened because she feared what that intelligence could mean if discovered.
La’An now has the answer she has been seeking.
Yet when Pike asks what she found, she chooses silence.
For someone already struggling with anger and questions about judgment, the decision reveals a significant shift. La’An understands that regulations and morality do not always occupy exactly the same space.
