UNCLE DREW plot:
Dax (Lil Rel Howery) convinces former basketball playground legend Uncle Drew (Kyrie Irving) to join a streetball tournament at the Rucker Park in Harlem after losing his basketball team to his rival Mookie (Nick Kroll). Uncle Drew agrees but as one of the conditions, he will have to form his own team. The two set out on a road trip to pick up Drew’s old basketball squad.
Directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline) and written by Jay Longino, it stars Kyrie Irving as the titular character from his Pepsi Max advertisements that started in 2012, along with former NBA players Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, and Nate Robinson and former WNBA player Lisa Leslie. Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, Erica Ash, J. B. Smoove, Mike Epps, and Nick Kroll also star.
