A teen living with her strong-willed mother must take her brother to a specialized facility. She strikes up an unlikely friendship with an eccentric activist at protests surrounding a landmark medical case in Suncoast.
Based on Chinn’s life experience from the early 2000s, the semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story is about a young woman dealing with her brother’s serious illness. Written and directed by Laura Chinn in her feature directorial debut, Suncoast stars Laura Linney, Nico Parker, and Woody Harrelson.
