Happy Birthday to actor Omari Hardwick, who was born on this day in 1974.
Hardwick is best known for his starring role as James “Ghost” St. Patrick, the protagonist of Starz’s Power, as well as and role as Vanderohe in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. He also appeared in Saved and Dark Blue, in Spike Lee’s Miracle at St. Anna, Kick-Ass, Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, and as Andre in BET Network’s Being Mary Jane.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Hardwick attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship and had aspirations to play in the NFL. After being undrafted, he returned to acting, where he made his breakthrough in Spike Lee’s Sucker Free City.
