The new teaser trailer for writer/director/producer Spike Lee’s upcoming new version of the Park Chan-wook classic, Oldboy has been released.
Lee’s version will draw from both Chan-wook’s film and the manga that inspired it. In the story, Josh Brolin plays a guy kidnapped off the street one night and held in a strange prison for many years. Unceremoniously released, he sets out on the trail of the person responsible for his ordeal, and finds surprises as well as the culprit.
The film also will feature Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Elizabeth Olsen. Oldboy opens on October 11.
