It is often said that good things come in small packages. In the case of the diminutive beauty, co-writer and star of the upcoming sports comedy, The Bronze, Melissa Rauch is determined to squeeze every inch of ability out of her tiny, yet energetic frame.
Rauch was in the Nation’s Capital to promote her latest film, which is finally poised to hit theaters a little over a year after it first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year. The story is of a self-centered former Olympic medal winner who is adjusting to her post-athletic life in small-town Ohio.
She sat down with me and shared the incident that inspired her, how she desires to keep pushing boundaries and the impetus for much of the raunchy humor in the film.
