by Tim Gordon

The beloved Crawleys and their intrepid staff prepare for the most important moment of their lives. A royal visit from the king and queen of England soon unleashes scandal, romance, and intrigue — leaving the future of Downton hanging in the balance in Downton Abbey.

The historical period drama is written by Julian Fellowes, creator, and writer of the television series of the same name, produced by Gareth Neame, Liz Trubridge and Fellowes, and directed by Michael Engler. The film continues the storyline from the series, with much of the original cast returning.
