On the latest episode of Conversations, we sit down with the stars of the upcoming action thriller, Rebel Ridge, Aaron Pierre, AnnaSophia Robb, and Don Johnson.
In the film, An ex-Marine grapples his way through a web of small-town corruption when an attempt to post bail for his cousin escalates into a violent standoff with the local police chief.
Director Barry Jenkins gave Pierre his big break, casting him as Caesar in his series, The Underground Railroad. He also appeared as Mid-Sized Sedan / Brendan in M. Night Shyamalan’s film Old. Pierre reteams with Jenkins again as a young Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King.
Despite her young age, AnnaSophia Robb is a veteran actress. She began as a child actress on television, making her feature film debut in Because of Winn-Dixie, followed by the supporting role of Violet Beauregarde in Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She followed that up with several successful projects, Bridge to Terabithia, Soul Surfer, The Carrie Diaries, and The Act.
Actor Don Johnson is a five-decade veteran of the big and small screen. He achieved iconic status by playing James “Sonny” Crockett in the series, Miami Vice. He also played the title character in the series Nash Bridges. He also has appeared in films such as A Boy and His Dog, Tin Cup, Machete, Django Unchained, and Knives Out.
