The second trailer for the Kevin Hart/Ice Cube comedy, Ride Along 2 has been posted online and the filmmakers hope that this installment of the story catches fire like its predecessor.
This time around Ben Barber (Hart) graduates from the police academy and is now a full-fledged Atlanta P.D. cop, and wants to make it as a detective. James (Cube), Ben’s soon to be brother-in-law, is still annoyed by his tactics. Ben is about to get married to James’ sister Angela (Tika Sumpter), but their boss Lt. Brooks (Bruce McGill) assigns them on a huge case that is in Miami, where they will be working with the Miami Police Department.

Ride Along took in $135 million at the box office and the filmmakers are excited to see if they can grow this franchise. Tim Story will once again direct the film from a story written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. The cast includes Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Tika Sumpter, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn, and Ken Jeong.
