We are less than a week away from the show that has been hyped as the “next great crime drama.” American Crime, the upcoming American anthology crime drama, will debut on ABC Thursday night beginning at 10pm.
Created by Oscar and Black Reel Award winning screenwriter John Ridley (12 Years A Slave), the show follows the aftermath of a murder in Modesto, California. War veteran Matt Skokie is killed during a home invasion in which his wife, Gwen, is also brutally attacked. The series uses the crime and its subsequent journey through the legal system to explore complex issues, mainly through the lenses of the victims’ and suspect’s families.
American Crime stars Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Penelope Ann Miller, Elvis Nolasco, Johnny Ortiz, Regina King and Lili Taylor. The series will debut on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern/9:00 p.m. Central on ABC.
