Ava DuVernay’s Martin Luther King, Jr. biopic, Selma, continues to add star power. The latest actor cast in epic story of the civil rights leader is Tim Roth.

Reportedly, Roth will play Alabama Governor George Wallace opposite David Oyelowo as King and Tom Wilkinson as President Lyndon B. Johnson.

DuVernay (I Will Follow and Middle of Nowhere) is directing Selma from her own screenplay. The story is set in Alabama, the place where segregation in the South was at its worst, leading to a march that ended in violence, forcing a famous statement by Johnson that ultimately led to the signing of the Civil Rights Act.

Roth is getting pretty comfortable appearing in biopics, recently he starred opposite Nicole Kidman in Olivier Dahan’s Grace of Monaco.

Selma is currently filming.
