The poster for the upcoming biopic of famed South African leader, Nelson Mandela has been posted online. Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom stars Idris Elba and Naomie Harris as Nelson and Winnie Mandela.
The film explores the Mandela unknown to most of the world – the lover of fast cars and women, the boxing enthusiast and playboy, the skillful lawyer and the gun-toting freedom fighter – an intimate portrait of the making of a modern icon.

Director Justin Chadwick‘s Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom is based on a screenplay by Bill Nicholson (Sarafina!, Gladiator, Les Miserables). The epic motion picture will celebrate Nelson Mandela’s extraordinary journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his election as President of South Africa.
In addition to Elba and Harris, the film co-stars South African stars Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, Jamie Bartlett, Lindiwe Matshikiza, Deon Lotz and Terry Pheto.
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is set for theatrical release on November 29, 2013.
