FilmGordon Radio | The 17th Annual Caribbean Film Festival

Films from the beautiful islands of the Caribbean are the highlight of the 17th Annual Caribbean Film Festival, which kicks off this week at the AFI Silver in the suburbs of the Nation’s Capitol.

One of the festival’s organizers, Mwiza Muthali, stopped by to preview the festival and discuss the wide range of festival offerings, many from places not traditionally known for producing film content. Muthali’s mission to highlight and introduce more films from both the African Diaspora has succeeded as The Caribbean Film Festival has now established itself as a vital voice of cinema from these island nations.

The 17th Annual Caribbean Film Festival will run from Friday, June 9th through Monday, June 12th. For more information on the films featured at the festival and how to purchase tickets to attend, click HERE!!!
